Yes, it’s Really Free!

Since starting the Blood Bank Guy Essentials Podcast in 2016, I have focused on teaching you the essentials of Transfusion Medicine in easy to digest interviews with industry experts. Many episodes of the podcast also offered the chance to get continuing education credit through my former (and still friendly!) partners, Wiley Health Learning and TransfusionNews.com. That credit, however, has now expired for all episodes released before April 2026.

Don’t despair, though! I’m thrilled to announce that you can again get free continuing education credit, starting with episode 105CE, for selected episodes in the future, through my partnership with AABB (the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies). AABB has generously offered, at no cost to you, up to one hour of free CE credit for non-physicians and CME credit for physicians for every episode ending in “CE,” starting with episode 105CE (released April 29, 2026).

The process is really simple, and you don’t have to fill out page after page of paperwork or even take a quiz! Just listen to a CE episode the way you usually do (on your phone, tablet, or computer, using Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or whatever), then click the button above to go to the AABB/BBGuy Continuing Education Page and follow the directions there. Once you have done that once or twice, you can go more directly to the AABB Learning Hub section for the podcast. If you’ve never used AABB’s Learning Hub before, you will have to register, but that’s it! Just follow the directions, and you are home FREE!
