Obstetric hemorrhage should scare you! Let’s learn how to take some of the terror away.

Dr. Kerry O’Brien
Dr. O’Brien and I also dig into the practical side of managing these emergencies: Activating massive transfusion protocols, coordinating communication across teams, and optimizing blood component therapy—including fibrinogen replacement and the role of tranexamic acid. Whether you’re in a large academic center or covering the lab overnight in a smaller hospital, my goal is for you to walk away with clear, actionable strategies to be more prepared the next time it really matters. In the end, it’s all about doing all we can to ensure the best outcomes for moms and babies!
