A part of a validation protocol for a particular piece of equipment (abbreviated “IQ”). IQ refers to establishing objective evidence that the equipment has been installed according to the specifications provided by the manufacturer. Other parts of the validation protocol for new equipment are operational qualification and performance qualification.
