MISSION: Teach basic transfusion medicine to as many as possible
VISION: To use creative and unique methods to become the world's premier web site for basic transfusion medicine review
I truly believe that certain people are just meant to do certain things. I have known for a long time now that what I am best at professionally is teaching people the basics of blood banking and transfusion medicine. Figuring out a tough antibody, solving a strange donor issue, or helping a clinician manage a transfusion problem by myself is cool, but sitting with a student and explaining the same issues in such a way that I get to see the light go in in their eyes is simply better than anything else I do at work.
Unfortunately, I will never have that opportunity with most of you, unless you move to Los Angeles! So, this site is just my attempt to show you some things that will I hope will help you learn more about blood banking, in ways that will result in "the light going on" in your eyes, too!
